Eligible Members
Individuals may be eligible for nursing facility services if they meet the following requirements:
- Have been assessed and determined to require a nursing facility level of care.
- Reside in a Medicaid-certified nursing facility (NF) or board and care facility (BCH).
- Receive care in a facility that complies with state and federal regulations.
- Have physician-ordered nursing facility care.
- Complete and receive approval through the county preadmission screening process before admission.
- Meet Medicaid (MA) eligibility requirements for long-term care coverage.
Covered Services
Medicaid (MHCP) covers room, board, and essential daily care for eligible members residing in a certified nursing facility or boarding care facility. Covered services include:
- Room and board accommodations
